Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Khamin Gleb (“we”, “us”, the “Developer”), the developer of the mobile application Tabula Space (listed on the App Store as “Tabula: Tutor Scheduling”, the “App”), handles information when you use the App.
Our approach is simple: the App has no user accounts and no server of its own. You do not register or sign in. All the content you create stays on your device. The only data that ever leaves your device is limited, mostly anonymous technical data used to keep the App stable, plus anything you deliberately send us through the in-app feedback form.
1. No account, and your content stays on your device
The App does not require registration or a login. Everything you create and manage in the App — students, groups, lessons and schedule, payments and income, linked contacts, and notes — is stored locally on your device (using Apple’s Core Data). We do not operate a backend for this content, we do not upload it to any server, and it is not synced to the cloud. We have no access to it.
2. Analytics and crash data
To understand how the App is used and to fix problems, we use two Google services: Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They automatically collect:
- Product interaction data — events about how the App is used (for example, which screens are opened and which features are used), together with basic technical information: device model, operating system and App version, language, and an approximate location (country or region) that Google derives from the IP address. We do not receive your IP address or your precise location.
- Crash data — diagnostic logs when the App crashes or an operation fails, so we can find and fix bugs.
To tell installations apart, Firebase generates its own random installation identifiers. They are not linked to your name, Apple ID, email address or any account, and they are reset when you delete and reinstall the App.
To understand how the App is used by different groups of users, we attach four non-personal properties to analytics events:
environment— the type of build: debug, TestFlight or App Store;subscription_status— whether you are on the free plan or have an active subscription;students_bucket— the number of your active students, as a range only: 0, 1–5, 6–10, 11–20 or 21+;groups_bucket— the number of your active groups, as a range only: 0, 1–2, 3–5 or 6+.
These ranges are calculated on your device. We never send exact numbers, names or any other content of your records — only the range.
We do not send any personal or student content (names, phone numbers, payment amounts, notes, etc.) to analytics or crash reports. We do not set our own user identifier in Firebase (setUserID is not used), and we do not combine analytics or crash data with messages you send through the feedback form (Section 4). We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) or any advertising/tracking framework, and the App does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
For these services Google acts as a data processor on our behalf. Google’s handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Privacy and Security information.
3. Access to your device Contacts
If you choose to link a device contact to a student, the App asks for permission to access your Contacts. Contact data is read only on your explicit action and is stored locally on your device as part of your student records. It is never sent to our servers or to any third party. You can grant or revoke Contacts access at any time in iOS Settings.
4. Contacting the developer (feedback form)
The App includes a “Contact the developer” form. This data leaves your device only when you choose to send a message. When you do, we receive:
- the text of your message;
- your email address, only if you choose to provide it (it is optional and is used solely to reply to you);
- technical information that helps us reproduce issues: App version and build number, iOS version, device model, locale and time zone;
- two random identifiers, described below.
The App generates both identifiers itself as random values. They are not derived from your Apple ID, phone number, device serial number or advertising identifier, are not linked to any account, and are used only for the feedback form — they are not sent to analytics or crash reporting.
- Installation identifier — stored in the App’s local storage. It shows which messages came from the same installation of the App. It is deleted when you uninstall the App; a new one is created if you install it again.
- User identifier — stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. It lets us see that several messages, including messages sent after reinstalling the App, come from the same person, so we can keep the context of your earlier requests. iOS keeps Keychain data when an app is uninstalled, so this identifier remains on your device until you erase the device (“Erase All Content and Settings”); it may also be restored if you restore your device from a backup.
If you provide your email address, your messages are linked to that email address. If you do not, your messages are linked only to the random identifiers above, and we cannot tell who you are from them.
Your message is delivered to the Developer’s endpoint built on Google services (Google Apps Script and Google Sheets) and may be processed with Google’s AI service (Google Gemini) to help us organise and respond to feedback. Google acts as a processor for this data; see the Google Privacy Policy.
To have your messages deleted, write to us at tabula.hello@gmail.com. If you sent them without an email address, tell us the approximate date and what the message said, so we can find it.
5. City search (student’s local time)
When you search for a city to show a student’s local time, the App uses Apple’s MapKit to look up the place name. The App does not request your device location, and no location permission is required.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). The App does not see or store your payment card or billing details — those are handled entirely by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. The App only reads your subscription status (active / expired) on your device to unlock features.
7. Notifications
Reminders and notifications are scheduled locally on your device. The App does not use a push server and does not send your data anywhere to deliver them.
8. Backups you create
You can manually export an encrypted backup file of your data and share it wherever you choose (for example, to Files or another app). This is entirely under your control — the App itself does not upload or send this file anywhere. Keep your backup files safe, as they contain your data.
9. Third parties we rely on
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for advertising. We rely on the following service providers, acting on our behalf or as part of the platform:
- Apple — app distribution, subscription processing, and system services (MapKit, local notifications). See the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Google — analytics and crash reporting (Firebase), and the feedback-form backend (Apps Script, Sheets, Gemini). See the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security.
10. International transfers
Because we use Apple and Google services, some technical and feedback data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, these providers apply appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
11. Data retention and deletion
Content you create in the App stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App; uninstalling the App deletes this local data. Analytics and crash data are retained by Google for a limited period in accordance with their policies, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Messages sent through the feedback form are kept only as long as needed to handle your request; you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
12. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for private tutors and other adults, and is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Any information about students that a tutor chooses to enter is stored locally on the tutor’s device under the tutor’s control; we do not access, transmit, or process it.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EU/EEA and the UK have these rights under the GDPR; residents of California have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Because the content you create stays on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly — by editing or deleting data in the App, or by uninstalling it. For requests about the limited data described above (analytics or feedback), contact us at tabula.hello@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
14. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and you are responsible for protecting access to your device and to any backup files you create.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated within the App or on this page.
